Sun Group's US$2B Resort to Transform Vietnam's Tourism Landscape

Sun Group is set to revolutionize Vietnam's tourism scene with a US$2 billion integrated resort in Quang Ninh Province. The 'Van Don Integrated Casino & Tourism Complex' aims to transform Van Don into a global tourism hotspot, rivaling destinations like Macau and Las Vegas.

Spanning 244.5 hectares, the resort will be developed in three phases over nine years, with an investment of US$1.255 billion. It will feature a casino welcoming local players for a daily levy of US$100 or a monthly pass of US$2,000 under a revised regulatory model. The complex will also boast hotels, convention centers, sports facilities, and wellness services. Sun Group, known for projects like Van Don International Airport and Sun World Ha Long, expects this development to drive the Van Don Economic Zone's economy and tourism forward. Don Sun Joint Stock Company, a Sun Group subsidiary, will oversee the development.

Vietnam is gearing up for a significant shift in its tourism and gaming landscape with this US$2 billion integrated resort. Once complete, the 'Van Don Integrated Casino & Tourism Complex' is expected to substantially boost regional economic growth and cement Van Don's status as a global tourism destination.
