Spotify and HBO Max have united to create India's first fashion-led rap concert series, the HBO Max URB_N Unmute: South Tour. The tour, which concluded recently, covered Kochi, Hyderabad, and Chennai over three weekends, transforming each city into a vibrant cultural playground.
The tour, a cultural benchmark where style meets sound, featured an exclusive anthem that blended local rhythms and street slang, encouraging self-expression. Head of Sales at Spotify India, Arjun Ravi Kolady, noted that Spotify has long supported local hip-hop and emerging voices, making this tour a perfect fit.
The HBO Max URB_N South Tour was more than just a concert series. It was a celebration of youth culture, with immersive pop-ups and interactive fan moments at each stop. Deputy CEO of HBO Max Fashion, Sumit Chandna, explained that the tour was about providing a stage for young India to express themselves loudly and proudly.
The tour attracted some of the biggest names in Indian hip-hop. Artists like Baby Jean, Kayden Sharma, and Paal Dabba, who together boast over 45.2 lakh monthly Spotify listeners, performed and engaged with fans.
