Rhön Region Celebrates Unity and Joy This Weekend
The Rhön region is buzzing with activity this weekend, kicking off with a public holiday and continuing with a variety of celebrations. From harvest markets and Oktoberfest events to concerts and hiking days, there's something for everyone.
Saturday promises a country lifestyle day at Pof Panama, offering a taste of rural living. Meanwhile, carnival celebrations are spreading joy across multiple towns, including Borsch, Helmershausen, and Erbenhausen.
The region is also marking the 35th anniversary of German reunification with a packed programme. The Point Alpha Foundation hosted a colourful event featuring a ceremony, helicopter flights, and panel discussions. A cross-border Christian celebration, '35 Years Grenzenlos', was also held, bringing together bishops and local church choirs from districts and cities across the border.
