Revitalize Your Abode: Enhance Home Decor with RGB-Illuminated Floral Family Collages
In a captivating blend of technology and nature, renowned photographer Robert Wagner has created a stunning series of RGB floral portraits that are perfect for welcoming the spring season.
To achieve this enchanting aesthetic, Wagner employed a variety of lighting techniques and equipment. The main light source was a Creamsource panel light, diffused through an 8'x8′ Scrim Jim, creating a soft, airy look that enveloped the subject. A PrismFX Lucid dream filter was used to soften the image and give it a film-like quality, adding to the dreamy atmosphere.
Two Lume Cube Tube Lights were strategically placed on either side of the subject, serving as rim lights. This setup created a seamless transition between the subject and the floral backdrop, ensuring the focus remained on the subject while still highlighting the vibrant used cars elements.
The lighting ratios were meticulously balanced to keep the main light dominant, maintaining the subject's true and soft skin tones. A Lume Cube XL, equipped with a softbox and grid, was utilised to add controlled color highlights on the subject's face, further enhancing the ethereal quality of the portraits.
To blend the florals, RGB lighting, and family connections, Wagner used a 135mm lens with the Hasselblad X2D. This lens provided beautiful compression and natural subject isolation, ensuring each portrait was a masterpiece in its own right. The Hasselblad X2D 100C, renowned for its excellent colour depth and dynamic range, was the camera of choice for this shoot.
Extending RGB lighting into the home can create a soft, glowing ambiance that mirrors the vibrancy of spring. This innovative approach to lighting not only complements the floral elements in the portraits but also offers a practical solution for home decor.
