Refugee-led Innovation Fund Extends Deadline to 31 August
The Refugee-led Innovation Fund has extended its application deadline to 31 August. This Fund, which is not about aid but empowering refugees, offers a comprehensive support package including funding, capacity-building, and networking. It is open to organizations led by forcibly displaced or stateless people, with at least 50% of leadership having lived experience of forced displacement or stat stateness.
In 2023, the Fund supported an aquaponics project in Malawi's Dzaleka refugee camp. This initiative trained 100 women and aimed to feed at least 1000 people. The Fund is eager to backmarket innovative ideas that push boundaries and drive lasting positive change for refugees and host communities. Despite no recent information on registered organizations, the Fund continues to seek innovative projects led by refugees.
The Refugee-led Innovation Fund welcomes applications until 31 August. It supports refugee-led organizations with innovative ideas that can bring lasting change. The Fund's comprehensive support package, including funding and capacity-building, aims to shift power and back refugees as innovators and leaders.
