Photographer's Swedish Tale Charm at Countrywomen's Meeting
Gunnar Green, a keen photographer and camper from Sollerup in North Friesland, recently shared insights about Sweden and its renowned children's author, Astrid Lindgren, at an annual meeting of countrywomen. The event, held in Vimmerby, was followed by a harmonious election of new board members.
Green, who traveled to Sweden with his family via Denmark, captivated the audience with tales of Smaland's natural beauty and its significance as Lindgren's home. The family explored the region, visiting locations from Lindgren's films and a museum dedicated to her.
The meeting concluded with a unanimous election due to several resignations. Gudrun Kuhn was elected as the second chairwoman, Sabine Glöde as the third chairwoman, Renate Spattholz as the secretary, and Irmgard Junior as the deputy secretary. Despite the changes, the atmosphere remained harmonious.
Gunnar Green's lecture on Sweden and Astrid Lindgren set the stage for a successful annual meeting of countrywomen in Vimmerby. The election of new board members ensures the organization's continuity, with all positions filled unanimously.
