Prince Archie's Rocking Sixth Birthday Bash

Who attended the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's eldest child's birthday party last weekend? A mix of close friends and family, that's who! Meghan Markle took to her Instagram page to share a heartfelt tribute to her son Archie on his special day, and expressed gratitude to all the guests who came to celebrate with them.

But alas, she chose not to reveal any specific names from the guest list, leaving us curious cats hanging on for more! It's possible that senior members of the British Royal Family, such as King Charles and Prince William, may have missed out on the festivities given the apparent lack of communication between them and Meghan and Prince Harry.

Instead, the guest list likely consisted of famous parents from Meghan's Montecito Moms circle, including celebrities like Katy Perry, Pilates guru Heather Dorak, and cosmetics tycoon Victoria Jackson. Mindy Kaling, award-winning writer and actress, was another guest who could have been in attendance, having become good friends with Meghan after appearing on an episode of Meghan's cancelled Archetypes podcast.

Mindy even received a sample of Meghan's American Riviera Orchard jam last year and was among the first lucky recipients of the Duchess' new business launch. While the party was likely filled with laughter and joy, there were a few awkward moments, such as when Mindy referred to Meghan as Meghan Markle instead of Sussex. But all in all, it sounds like it was an incredibly special day for Archie!

Mindy KalingMindy Kaling and Meghan Markle became close friends after appearing on an episode of Meghan's cancelled Archetypes podcast with Spotify, and even appeared as a guest on her recent Netflix cooking show, With Love, Meghan. Their friendship was confirmed when Mindy was one of the selected few to receive a sample of Meghan's American Riviera Orchard jam last year.

Then, in April, Mindy showed off her As Ever gift package, becoming one of the first lucky recipients of the Duchess' new business launch. Accompanied by a note with her name in an elegant scrawl by Meghan, Mindy received the shortbread cookie mix, As Ever jam in a keepsake box, three types of tea, the crepe mix and the flower sprinkles - the total value of which comes to $93.

Mindy is mother to Katherine, seven, Spencer, four, and Anne, one, but has been notoriously private about who fathered her children. In 2020, the comic and actress announced on 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert' that she had given birth to Spencer without ever letting the public know she had been pregnant.

Kadi LeeAnother guest who could have attended Archie's birthday party is Meghan's friend and hair stylist, Kadi Lee, who Meghan has previously described as an 'auntie' to her children. In episode three of her podcast Confessions Of A Female Founder, the Duchess spoke about her relationship with Kadi, co-founder of hair brand Highbrow Hippie.

The Duchess revealed that her children 'run out' whenever Kadi arrives in her car and referred to Lee as 'Auntie Kadi,' while Lee called herself 'Super Aunt,' adding that she had no children. The reference to Kadi as an 'auntie' could be linked to the word's usage as a 'general term of respect for usually older women in various contexts,' as defined by the Oxford English Dictionary.

According to Meghan, she met Kadi in 2020 - the year of Megxit when Meghan and Prince Harry quit the working monarchy for a new life in the US - and told of her attempts to dye her own hair at home during the pandemic. After being corrected by Kadi, things between the two seemed to be just fine. In fact, the pair even met up again at the launch party for Highbrow Hippie's new hair wellness range in California in November 2024, amid reports that Meghan was financially backing Lee's venture.
