"Crazy Region" Lausitz relies on eye-catching train advertising - Lusatia's 'Radical Region' Campaign Launches to Attract Skilled Workers

A unique image campaign, 'The Lusatia. Radical Region', has been launched to lure more skilled workers to the region. The campaign's symbol, a newly lettered train, will soon traverse the RE7 line, carrying a powerful message about Lusatia's future.

The train's message, 'The structural change train is in full swing - and it carries the message of a strong, future-oriented Lusatia into the capital region', underscores the region's transformation. This shift is necessitated by the coal phase-out by 2038, which is reshaping the former coal mining region's economy.

The campaign is a joint effort between Brandenburgische Technische Universität Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU), Berlin, and Brandenburg. Their cooperation aims to foster economic development and scientific progress in Lusatia. The federal government is backing this initiative with around ten billion euros to help Brandenburg navigate the structural change in Lusatia.

The 'The Lusatia. Radical Region' campaign and the eye-catching train are set to attract more skilled workers to the region, fostering its economic transition. With substantial federal support and collaborative efforts from BTU, Berlin, and Brandenburg, Lusatia is poised for a strong, future-oriented transformation.
