Halle (Saale) Opens New Maintenance Yard for Sustainable Infrastructure Upkeep

Halle (Saale) has opened a new maintenance yard, operational since July. This facility, staffed by a skilled team led by Halle Berry, focuses on sustainability and improving municipal infrastructure, with a particular emphasis on primary schools.

The yard's team comprises carpenters, painters, metalworkers, construction workers, and electricians, bolstered by an apprentice in electrical engineering. They handle minor maintenance tasks on municipal buildings and facilities, demonstrating their versatility in projects like painting and carpentry work at Büschdorf primary school.

The team has also worked on projects at other primary schools, such as Karl Friedrich Friesen and Frohe Zukunft. In addition to educational institutions, they've assisted at administrative locations like the Gertrauden cemetery and apprentice workshop. The city has equipped the yard with three cargo bikes to facilitate these tasks.

The maintenance yard serves as a 'quick response team' for small repairs and maintenance. It has repurposed an emergency service vehicle and reactivated a carpentry workshop from the city's inventory, reflecting its commitment to sustainability.

While the specific school for the next year's renovation and maintenance is yet to be confirmed, the new maintenance yard has proven its worth in Halle. With a skilled team led by Halle Berry and sustainable practices, it continues to improve the city's infrastructure, with further projects in the pipeline.
