Future of Caravaning in Hessian Rhön: Lecture on Oct 8, 2025

A lecture is set to take place in the Hessian Rhön on October 8, 2025, to discuss the future of caravaning infrastructure in the region. The event, hosted at the Hessian Administrative Office of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Rhön, will delve into significant changes observed in motorhome tourism during and after the Corona pandemic.

The event, scheduled from 6 to 7:30 PM, will feature a presentation by Thomas Nitsch, a pitch advisor and speaker for technology and infrastructure at the CIVD. With over 30 years of experience, Nitsch will share practical insights and suggestions on future-proofing caravaning infrastructure.

The Hessian Rhön, one of Germany's most beautiful natural areas, is among ten model regions where this nationwide project is being implemented. The project aims to promote sustainable development and nature-compatible management of caravan tourism. It is a collaboration between National Nature Landscapes (NNL) e.V., the Association of German Nature Parks (VDN) e.V., and the Caravaning Industry Association (CIVD) e.V.
