Fair Week 2025 in Bergisch Gladbach: Over 150 Join Fairtrade Fun!
The Fair Week in Bergisch Gladbach, held from September 12th to 26th, 2025, saw over 150 people participate in a guessing game. The event, organized by the Fairtrade steering group, also featured a successful 'Aromas of the World' session, combining a reading and wine tasting experience.
Throughout the week-long event, the Fairtrade steering group offered various activities and information about Fairtrade. One of the highlights was a guessing game where participants tried to estimate the number of coffee beans in a fair-traded coffee packet. Okan Soylu, a local footballer, won one of the fair footballs as a prize, while Nesrin Hussein won the second one for her son Aland.
The group also participated in the city and cultural festival, bringing their WIR-mobile to engage with visitors. Many attendees showed great interest in the Fairtrade topic, making the event a success. Despite searches, no specific organization was found to have hosted the 'Aromas der Welt' event or been involved in the 'Fair for Future' event at the city library.
The Fair Week 2025 in Bergisch Gladbach concluded with enthusiasm for the Fairtrade cause. The Fairtrade steering group looks forward to building on this success for the Fair Week 2026.
