The surroundings of the stadium are pretty much parking-free, with residents parking zones in the neighborhoods causing problems even for the most seasoned parallel-parkers. The SV Elversberg isn't thrilled about adding to the frustration, but some disruption is inevitable. The local heroes urge fans to follow the travel plan for a hassle-free experience.
Avoiding traffic jams and inconveniencing residents should be a top priority. That's why the SVE encourages spectators to carpool, take public transportation or use the free shuttle service. Yep, you read that right - tickets give you access to the entire public transportation network, as well as the extensive shuttle system from nearby train stations and park & ride lots. - Public Transport Combi-Ticket:Buy this baby, and you can ride all buses and trains (Saarbahn, regional trains, and regional express 2nd class) in the saarVV for four hours before and four hours after the match.
- Shuttle Service - Train Stations/P&R:Shuttles will connect the train stations in Neunkirchen and St. Ingbert to the URSAPHARM-Arena, and a bus service will also be provided from the park & ride lot in Neunkirchen-Heinitz (Grubenstraße). This year, a new park & ride lot for individual visitors will be available in Neunkirchen-Sinnerthal (Redener Straße).
On the Road Again: Traffic Measures
Because of the anticipated crowd, the neighborhood around the URSAPHARM Arena will be bustling with one-way streets and new regulations. Most notably, certain streets, like Waldstraße and Friedrichsthaler Straße, will operate as one-way streets during home matches. The Elversberg motorway exit will stay open, but accessing the stadium's parking lot will require a permit. Patience and flexibility will be key!
New and Improved URSAPHARM Arena
With the renovations, there have been changes to the way you'll access the stadium. Entrances for the FLYERALARM main tribune and home standing area C1 have stayed the same, but they'll be expanded with new turnstiles. The new away tribune (standing area B1, seating area B2) will be accessed via the footpath coming from the Elversberg town center - just like before, access from the car park side isn't possible. Keep in mind that you'll be guided visually to the correct entry points for visiting supporters and home fans.
