In the heart of Russia's Far Eastern Federal District, Khabarovsk Krai is experiencing a surge in industrial growth and development. The region, known for its strategic location and high investment attractiveness, is making significant strides in expanding its industrial potential.

Highlights of the region's growth include the success of the "Avangard" industrial park, which produces goods worth over 1.3 billion rubles annually and hosts 16 residents, creating over 600 new jobs. The Russian Minister of Economic Development, Maxim Reshetnikov, recently inspected the park, underscoring its importance.

The "Avangard" industrial park is not the only project in the pipeline. The region has submitted an application to create another industrial park, named "Amur" technopark. Although specific details about the proposed technopark are limited, the Khabarovsk region continues its active efforts to enhance industrial and logistics capacities, supported by new construction projects and participation in federal development programs.

The region's industrial and transport sectors are growing rapidly, with Khabarovsk Krai rated highly attractive for investment. Cargo turnover and port loads have increased due to Russia’s “economic pivot to the East,” underpinning industrial park expansion.

Private firms are also contributing to the region's development. Etalon Group, a major Russian developer, is entering Khabarovsk Krai with a large residential-complex project aimed at boosting regional development and providing comfort-class housing. Construction is set to begin in 2026, indicating growing urban and economic infrastructure in the Khabarovsk region.

The region is also implementing broader master plans for the Far Eastern Federal District, with many industrial projects and production workshops being rolled out across the region, including smart technology and pharmaceutical AMP production. Federal programs and SME initiatives are active to help local companies participate in state procurement and large-scale projects.

Preparations are underway for the Eastern Economic Forum and other regional exhibitions, where Khabarovsk authorities plan to showcase their technological sovereignty and development plans, suggesting a supportive environment for future industrial park growth.

As for the "Amur" technopark, the requested federal budget subsidy is 500 million rubles. The terminal, ready for launch, is equipped with modern infrastructure and has a capacity to handle 600 passengers per hour, designed to serve up to one million passengers annually. The new international airport terminal in Khabarovsk was built using a combination of off-budget and budget funds, with a total investment of 6.2 billion rubles, funded by VEB.RF. The "Avangard" industrial park was established in 2015 with the support of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development.

In summary, while Khabarovsk Krai is experiencing accelerated industrial and infrastructure growth with comprehensive regional plans, specific details about the "Amur" technopark remain limited, emphasizing the region’s overall positive forward trajectory in industrial park development and economic expansion.

  1. The Khabarovsk region, driven by industrial growth and development, is not only focusing on expanding its existing industrial parks like "Avangard", but also plans to establish a new technopark, tentatively named "Amur".
  2. As the regional growth also encompasses the transport sector, the upcoming "Amur" technopark is expected to boost business, lifestyle, and travel opportunities in Khabarovsk Krai, given its planned modern infrastructure.
