Dott Expands 24/7 E-Scooter & E-Bike Services in West of England for Night Workers

Dott, a provider of e-scooters and e-bikes, is set to expand its services in the West of England. This move is expected to be particularly beneficial for workers in the night-time economy, such as those in hospitals and hospitality. The expansion aims to increase flexibility for users, with services operating 24 hours a day from October 1 in the regions bank.

Dott's expansion follows the success of its Scoot Safe initiative, launched in August. This initiative has seen over 4,500 fines issued for poor parking, leading to a reported reduction of nearly one-third in just four weeks. To further promote safe and responsible riding, Dott is reinforcing in-app messaging and providing training through its online Safety School. The company also plans to increase the number of marked parking bays in collaboration with local councils. Dott has been operating in the region in partnership with the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority since its launch.

The expansion of Dott's services to 24/7 operation in Bristol, Bath, and South Gloucestershire joins the regions with cities like Nottingham, Paris, and Berlin in offering greater flexibility in micromobility services. This move is expected to be welcomed by night-shift workers and contribute to the growing importance of e-bikes and e-scooters in the region's transport mix.
