Krasnodar Airport is set to make a significant comeback in the aviation industry, as announced by Ksenia Vorontsova, the head of the Israeli Ministry of Tourism's representative office in Russia. After a hiatus of nearly three years, the airport is expected to resume international flights from September 17, 2025.

One of the key routes being planned is the direct flight from Tel Aviv to Krasnodar, operated by Aeroflot. This development is expected to boost tourism and trade relations between Russia and Israel. Currently, there are 32 direct flights from Russia to Israel each week, as reported by TASS.

The resumption of international flights is not limited to Tel Aviv. Krasnodar Airport is also expected to offer flights to Istanbul, Yerevan, Dubai, Samarkand, Tbilisi, and Antalya. These new connections will undoubtedly broaden the horizons for travellers in the region.

In terms of domestic flights, Krasnodar Airport already offers services to several major cities in Russia, including Moscow, St. Petersburg, Krasnoyarsk, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Ufa, and Kazan. The availability of these domestic flights will continue, providing convenient travel options for Russians within the country.

Initially, flight operations at Krasnodar Airport will be limited from 09:00 to 19:00, allowing for up to 50 flights per day (25 aircraft). This schedule is subject to change as the airport adjusts to the increased demand for travel.

By the end of the year, Krasnodar Airport is projected to serve over half a million passengers. This growth is a testament to the airport's resilience and the anticipation for the return of international travel. The number of destinations available from Krasnodar Airport is also expected to increase in the future, further enhancing its position as a crucial travel hub.

This revival of Krasnodar Airport is a significant step forward for the Russian aviation sector and the broader tourism industry. With the resumption of international flights and the expansion of services, it's an exciting time for travellers looking to explore new destinations.
