Dietrich-Keuning House Hosts Arts and Culture Celebration - VIVA! Festival
The Dietrich-Keuning-Haus in Germany is set to host the largest Latin American cultural festival in the country, titled "VIVA!", from September 18th to 20th, 2025. The festival will be an exciting three-day event filled with workshops, children's activities, dance, music, information, arts and crafts stands, and more, showcasing the diverse culture of 13 countries.
The festival kicks off on September 18th, 2025, at 6 PM, with an informative and enjoyable evening dedicated to coffee. The Informationsbüro Nicaragua e.V. from Wuppertal will present a short film about coffee cultivation in Nicaragua and a lecture on the history of fair trade. After the lecture, there will be an opportunity to taste and purchase fair-trade coffee products.
Admission to the coffee-themed event on September 18th is free. For the open-air event on the same day, admission at the box office is eight euros (advance sale six euros). Children and youth under 16 years old are admitted free of charge.
The children's program will take place from 3 to 6 PM and includes craft activities, face painting, animation, a children's disco, and a final piñata. The evening will conclude with a DJ playing Colombian rhythms.
On September 19th, 2025, at 7 PM, the "Soundscape of Colombia" stage program will take place. Sigrid Palacios Castillo and Pedro Barrera Carrillo will moderate the stage performances. The stage program will feature dances and music from various regions of Colombia, accompanied by traditional food, drinks, arts and crafts, jewelry, and more.
The festival will culminate on September 20th, 2025, with a large open-air event at the Keuning-Haus. Colombia is the guest country for this year's event, with an honoring evening on September 19th, 2025.
Representatives from 13 Latin American countries are involved in the preparations and the program of the festival. The diverse program includes music, dance, art, film, and traditional food, promising an unforgettable cultural experience for all attendees. Don't miss out on this exciting event!
