Fundraising Initiative for Holidays for Ukrainian Children in Stade - Seeking Benefactors - Children's vacation plans secured in Ukraine - Donor needed

In the heart of Germany, the District of Stade has been extending a helping hand to displaced Ukrainians for over three years. This small district, located in the region of Braunschweig-Lüneburg-Stade, has been a beacon of hope for thousands of refugees, providing them with essential aid supplies and a safe haven.

Recently, the District Administrator, Kai Seefried, initiated a unique project aimed at offering a respite to the most vulnerable victims of the ongoing conflict—the children. Cooperation with the General Consulate of Ukraine in Hamburg paved the way for this heartwarming initiative.

Approximately 5,000 displaced persons have found refuge in the District of Stade, and the plight of these children, who have been living through the daily horrors of war, has not gone unnoticed. Seefried emphasized the district's solidarity with the victims of the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine, stating, "These children deserve a break from their daily horrors."

The Chamber of Crafts for the district of Braunschweig-Lüneburg-Stade has generously offered accommodation for the children. They will be staying in a bed house at the Technology Centre of Crafts in Stade-Süd. The children, aged 8 to 16 from the Mykolaiv region, are expected to spend their holidays in Lower Saxony, enjoying a much-needed break from the war.

The project also includes support for their leisure time from local clubs and associations, as well as therapeutic and sporting measures aimed at helping them overcome trauma. However, additional donations are requested to enable the delegation excursions, ensuring these children have a memorable and enjoyable holiday.

The District of Stade's humanitarian aid to Ukraine extends beyond this project. Over several hundred thousand euros have been donated to fire departments, rescue services, hospitals, and children's homes in Ukraine. The district's volunteers have been delivering aid supplies to the Polish-Ukrainian border, and even Ukrainian volunteers have been taking over the convoys and bringing them into the war zone.

For those interested in supporting this noble cause, more information can be found on specialized humanitarian or charity websites focused on Ukrainian aid, local German community organizations in Stade, or official platforms coordinating support for Ukrainian children. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of these young refugees.

  1. Beyond employment policies, the District of Stade's commitment to aiding Ukraine extends to their lifestyle, as they generously donate funds to fire departments, hospitals, and children's homes in Ukraine.
  2. In a fusion of travel and politics, the initiative by the District Administrator, Kai Seefried, provides displaced Ukrainian children with an opportunity to experience a peaceful, therapeutic holiday in Germany.
