Anapa hotels to receive 50 million rubles in funding from Kuban authorities

The Krasnodar region has announced a financial relief package of 50 million rubles (approximately $610,000) to support Anapa hotels and the tourism industry, which have been severely affected by the oil spill in the Black Sea [1][3]. This emergency aid was announced by the Krasnodar regional government in response to the loss of revenue, salaries, advertising, and operational expenses faced by businesses in the region.

The support system includes reimbursements of up to 95% of operational expenses or up to 25% of funds from canceled bookings [2]. Hotels can also claim up to 50% of expenses for repairing hotel rooms. The maximum reimbursement per participant is set at 15 million rubles. Additionally, the region plans to provide subsidies for developing tourist infrastructure and supporting children's camps, totalling 220 million rubles [6].

The Kuban authorities have also announced additional support for businesses in Anapa and the Temryuk District [4]. In June, the Russian government allocated nearly 3 billion rubles for liquidating the consequences of the oil spill in the Kerch Strait [5]. In May, authorities allocated 7.5 billion rubles for producing and installing three protective structures over the sunken fragments of the "Volgoneft-212" and "Volgoneft-239" tankers.

Low-interest loans from the microfinancing fund are available at rates from 2% to 3.25% [7]. The funds can be used for paying wages, utility and rental payments, advertising, equipment maintenance, and tax payments. The region will also reimburse wages for children's health facilities.

Applications for reimbursement will be accepted until August 3 [8]. This information was reported by Yuga.ru [9]. It's important to note that Rosprirodnadzor estimated the damage from the oil spill in the Black Sea at nearly 85 billion rubles, although this figure is not directly related to the hotel reimbursement [10].
